Most standard entrances are made of glass that fails on the first hard strike, immediately creating a clear opening. Our bullet-resistant (BR) laminate is a multi-layer film applied directly to a school's existing entrance doors, sidelites, and ground-floor windows, no glass replacement required. Under attack, the layers keep the pane intact instead of falling away, which is what actually buys staff the time to lock down until first responders arrive.

SL-15 is a 15-mil laminate (420-psi breaking strength, tested to ANSI Z97.1) for forced-entry protection.
SL-31
SL-31 is a 31-mil laminate (1,100-psi breaking strength, tested to ANSI Z97.1) for prolonged or repeated attacks.
BR Laminate
BR laminate is the bullet-resistant tier (NIJ IIA), rated to stop common handgun rounds like 9mm, .40, and .45 — all on existing glass.
Third-Party Tested and Federally Approved
When a school trusts a company with the safety of its people, that company should be able to show its work. Clear Armor is the sole manufacturer and installer of its security laminates. All Clear Armor installers are properly background-checked and vetted so you always know who is coming to your building.
Every product is third-party tested, and Clear Armor is a TIPS-certified vendor and has Federal CAGE Code approval as a federal contractor. As a sole-source manufacturer, Clear Armor maintains the highest level of quality control for the product and installation.
Clear Armor's certifications reference UL level, ASTM International, ANSI, and NIJ standards. Our BR laminate carries an independent testing result for NIJ Standard 0108.01 Type II-A against 9mm on 1/4-inch glass.
Installers arrive in an unmarked truck and trailer and are willing to work with your schedule to cause the least disruption. Clear Armor installers are available to work first shift, second shift, and weekends on every project. This is provided at no additional cost to the client.
